La Cala Europa - Designed by Cabell B. Robinson, this excellent test is the latest addition to the resort and is spread over 108 hectares of land. A lot of attention went into protecting the surrounding vegetation (lavender, rockrose, rosemary and palmettos can be found all around the course) and as a result, the 6,615 yard layout is as stunning as it is challenging. Great use is made of the Ojen River, which cuts its way through eight of the holes and is a cunning hazard on all of them. The course is a great example of the modern game, with wide-open fairways and large greens for the high handicappers and some very long holes to test the more able golfer. For example the par 3, 15th measure 240 yards from the back tees and the par 5, 12th measures 575 yards. 18 holes. Par 71. 6,615 yds.
