Miraflores Golf Club
opened for play in 1990. Miraflores follows the gentle contours of the
Sierra Mijas foothills. The fairways and greens are maintained in lush
splendour throughout the year, and water is supplied from three
artificial ponds which come into play on four holes. The Golf Academy
offers tuition for everyone -- from the outright beginner to the most
discerning low-handicap golfer wishing to hone his skills.
Designed by Falco Nardi and opened
in 1990, Miraflores, nestling in the foothills and valleys of the Sierra
de Mijas, is a very challenging course, suitable for all levels of
golfers. Three large artificial lakes come in to play on several holes
and ensure that the lushness of the course is maintained all the year
round. Miraflores golf course is a members club, owned by the members,
most of whom live in the area and spend many hours playing the course.
Their input into the club has resulted in a vast improvement in the
condition of fairways and greens, always well maintained. Miraflores, is
a little tight but the more you play this golf course the more you will
enjoy it. Although owned by the members with members times, they still
sell green fees for pay and play, and the members are always very
welcoming. It is a firm favourite with many visiting golfers and a good
challenge for golfers at all levels. The practice facilities are second
to none and include a floodlit two storey driving range. Other
facilities include swimming pool and tennis courts. Miraflores also
boasts an excellent restaurant for lunch, or try it in the evening, it
is a quality restaurant at an affordable price. |
